After about a week of running BOINC on my computer, I have reached 8,000 credits. I didn't run it constantly, or even consistently, but I did run it for a few nights of straight, averaging about 2,000 credits per night.
Today I filled out the SMART goal sheet for my new ILE project for second semester. I decided to finish the BOINC computing project that I started last semester. I created a BOINC account to use on my computer and the school computers.
My powerpoint is finished, and I should be ready to present. I have some background about variable stars, my observations, and what I learned.
Day 64 - As with my 5 minute note, my ILE notes have become less regular, many of the weekly posts were rather frivolous, as there was little to report. I will be resuming my posts here, but only when I have something useful done
Day 29 - Today was the ILE Planning day. Mr. Tobin raised the standards of the smart planning sheet, and we had to actually put it into the SMART planning goal sheet. I made a graph of something for Ms. Eagan, and worked on putting my ILE into the SMART goal sheet.
Day 24 - Today I made a Google doc of my SMART Goal planning sheet and shared it with Mr. Tobin. I also went with David to get information for Mrs. Eisner's website, but she said she would come back tomorrow. My 3D print will be done at about 9:00 tonight.
Day 20 - Today I researched what resources are available on AAVSO. There is a light curve grapher, a log of observations, and a massive database of others' data.
Day 13 - I worked on my SMART Goal worksheet for my ILE. I have finalized my goal of observing variable stars and cataloging them on the AAVSO website. It is still pending Mr. Tobin's approval, but I think that my project is Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Tangible.
Day 10 - Decided that for my ILE I am going to do either an astrophotography portfolio, or I am going to catalog variable stars on AAVSO. Worked on fitting them into my SMART goal sheet. I think for the astrophotography the hardest part would be fitting it with a goal, but the AAVSO project might be difficult to measure.
